Principal’s Message

Dear Students, Parents, and concerned community members,
We are now on day 3 of the 2026-2027 school year and we have a lot to celebrate!
You may have already heard, but Zenith has once again earned a Commendable Rating by the State of Florida’s School Recognition Program. Meaning, we are once again one of the highest performing schools of our kind in the state. We have had tremendous success in helping students earn a minimum of a year’s worth of growth. We are proud to announce that this is the third year in a row that we have earned this distinction.
Over the summer, we were able to help more than 9 students from Zenith and several students from Grad Alliance earn a high school diploma through the districts summer school program. Several Zenith teachers brought their talents with them to Gateway H.S. where they worked with students throughout the summer to help them meet this important life achievement. We are proud of those students for sticking with it, and to our teachers for committing their summer to helping more students earn graduation. Those seniors who still need to pick up their diplomas and transcripts can stop by our front office. Please bring some form of picture ID with you.
Our first School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting of the year will be August 27th at 2:30 in the media center. We would love to have as many parents as possible attend this first meeting. If you have wanted to get involved in the school and in your chid’s education, this is a great way to do just that. At this meeting, we will be reviewing our School Improvement Plan, our Title I budget and our School Improvement Grant (SIG) budget for the year. Zenith is a Title I school, meaning the school is situated in an area of low socioeconomic standing. The Title I grant infuses additional money into the school to help purchase supplemental learning opportunities; we will discuss all of these at the meeting.
I’m looking forward to a great school year. I hope you will stay in touch with me as we navigate this year. Thank you, parents and families, again for your continued support of our teachers and staff for everything they do to make our schools exceptional places of learning. Together, we look forward to a bright and successful 2027 school year!
