Principal’s Message

Dear Students, Parents, and concerned community members,

Looking forward to November, the holiday season is coming soon.  But before we can celebrate the season with family and friends, there is still some work that needs to be done here at Zenith.  Progress reports will be going home on Friday, November 13, that’s two days after the November 11th Labor Day holiday.  And one week before we shut the doors for Thanksgiving holiday week.

Our second round of progress monitoring begins on November 30th.  Our first exam will begin on December 7th.  Teachers have been working through their curriculum to help prepare students for these important exams. Progress monitoring helps us to know that the students are learning and how we can help to either fill in some gaps or push students further. Students should take these exams seriously and try their best.

I’d like to bring up the topic of vaping.  Vaping has become widespread among high school students and, I fear, is becoming part of the norm. Although some students are vaping “flavored smoke”, most students are vaping either tobacco products or THC. Tobacco and THC are addictive substances which could have serious effects for adolescents.  Please have conversations with your children about the hazardous potential effects of vaping.
