Zenith Accelerated Learning Academy

Zenith Accelerated Learning Academy is a unique site within the School District of Osceola County, Florida. Zenith is a much smaller eighth thorough twelfth grade campus, where we house approximately 500 students. 80 of those are in eighth grade. Our teams of teachers are highly qualified and certified in the subject areas they are teaching. Our primary mission is to help students succeed in an academic environment with the supports necessary to help them become lifelong learners, successful adults, and contributing members in an ever-changing global community. To that extent, we offer many services to our school community that cannot be found in other district schools. The COPE program is for students who are pregnant or recently had their baby. We provide a day care setting so students can maintain their education while their babies are being cared for by professional, certified care givers right here on Zenit’s campus.

Zenith is also the Life Lab hub for middle school students who need to learn self-care skills. The Zenith Life Lab apartment teaches students to cook, clean, and care for themselves in a safe environment free from distractions and fear of failure. We support all the middle schools in the Osceola School District.

Zenith’s AXIS program supports those eighth-grade students who have fallen behind and need some extra time to learn important skills prior to the riggers of high school. Although our program is imbedded in the eighth-grade curriculum, we provide opportunities for students to earn high school credit and have a jump start on their high school experience.

Our high school program provides for students who have fallen behind. At Zenith, we structure the courses so students can earn credits at their own pace, catch up to their peers and graduate on-time. During this program, students also have the opportunity to take part in one of several career and technical options such as culinary skills, nail technology, digital media, and early childhood education. Our school counselors and college and career specialist are on staff to help students make good decisions about life after high school and steer them on a path for success.

Zenith is a school welcoming of community and parent support. To become more involved with the school, I encourage you to join our school advisory committee (SAC). The SAC meets the third Thursday of each month in the school’s media center at 2:30 PM.
