Principal Message

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year:

Is it just my age or did it seem like just yesterday we were worried about Y2K?  Here we are getting ready to start the 2025-2026 school year.  We have been working hard this summer to prepare for and be ready to help your child succeed next school year. Your child’s administrative team have been taking part in important trainings such as school safety updates and AVID.  We have also attended job fairs where we hope to start the school year with a complete staff. 

If you have stopped by the school recently you would have noticed all the work being completed on our building with a new air-conditioning system. No longer should some rooms be hot while others are freezing cold, we are very happy this work is being completed.  Because of all the construction, we had to hold summer school at Gateway High School.  They have been great hosts to our students, and we are hoping that several of the students will earn graduation over the summer. Our summer school graduation is scheduled to be held on July 31st at 9:30 AM, in our school cafeteria.

School starts back for students on August 11th.  You will be getting more information about the start of school through a new program called ParentSquare.  This exciting new program will allow you to communicate with your child’s teachers, complete forms, and permission slips, and make appointments with your child’s teachers or the school’s administration.  I believe this is going to be a useful tool for all Zenith families.

I’m excited about next school year as the changes and upgrades being made over the summer are being done with your child best interest at heart. If you’re reading this as a new member of the Zenith community, I want to welcome you and invite you to become involved with the school next year.  We have a School Advisory Committee (SAC) which meets the third Thursday of each month in our media center, YOU are welcome to come and be a part of the decision-making process here at Zenith.  I hope you have a peaceful and restful summer and I look forward to working with your child in the coming months.
